Essential Oils
Essential oils are natural products extracted from a single plant species. Not all plants produce essential oils, and in the plants that do, the essential oil may be found in the roots, stems, leaves, flowers, or fruits. They are typically extracted through the process of distillation which separates the oil and water based compounds of a plant by steaming.
Essential oils are highly concentrated oils that have strong aroma. They have been used for thousands of years in various cultures for medicinal and health purpose. Because of their antidepressant, stimulating, detoxifying, antibacterial, antiviral and calming properties, essential oils are often used as alternatives for natural, safe and cost effective therapy for a number of health concerns.
