The tree, scientifically classified as Eucalyptus Globulus is also known as fever tree, blue gum tree or stringy bark tree, depending on where it is located in the world. The numerous health benefits of eucalyptus oil have attracted the attention of the entire world, and it has stimulated a great deal of exploration into its usage in aromatherapy as well as in conventional medicine. 

Most respiratory conditions can benefit dramatically from the use of eucalyptus oil.  Use the Decongestant Steam Blend recipe for a few days, 2-3 times a day, wait a week or so and then use it again as a preventative measure.This is an effective way to prevent a cold or flu. If you can't find time or energy to do a steam, put a drop on a tissue and smell the strong, fresh aroma for a few minutes. If people are sick at work try putting a few drops on a tissue and leaving it on your desk! You can also make a room spray.
